1: Master at least 2000 key words. (至少掌握2000关键词)

Specifically, you should know how to read, write and use them correctly.

更确切地说，你应该能够将这些词进行正确地读、写和使用。

2: Know basic grammatical rules. (知道基本的语法规则)

Be familiar with language patterns, tenses and subordinate clauses. Then English learning will be much easier. 

对英语的时态、语言结构及从句熟练掌握。那么，英语学习就会简单很多。

3: Listen daily. (每天练听力)

Never underestimate the importance of listening if you truly want to learn English well. Doing dictation is a good choice but materials should be carefully chosen. 

如果真的想学好英语，永远不要低估听的重要性。听写练习很好，但需要注意材料的选择。

4: Speak out. (大胆说)

Talk to a foreigner by using simple English. Summarize a book or a movie orally. Interpret while watching a TV program.

用简单的英语同外国人交流；口头概括一本书或一部电影；边看电视边做口头翻译。

5: Write diaries. (写日记)

You know what you don’t know when you write. Keep your diaries and you can obviously see your progress one year later.

写的时候，你才知道哪些是不知道的。把日记保存起来，一年后就能清楚地看出进步。

6: Practice sentence-making. (练习造句)

Find a word randomly and then try to make a sentence or more. It’s a good but simple way to use English.

随机选择一个英文词汇，然后尝试造句。这是一个简单有效的英语学习方法。

7: Read a dictionary. (读双语词典)

Bilingual dictionaries are preferred. Then you learn how to paraphrase, that is to say, you can explain a word by using some simpler ones. 

首选双语词典。看双语词典，你就能学会如何进行释义，也就是说，你可以用更简单的词汇来解释一些复杂的词汇。

8: Recite something repeatedly. (反复背诵)

It’s a bad idea to recite everything you have learnt, or you will be exhausted and lose your interest gradually. Choose a poem or a speech you like, then read it, understand it and finally recite it. Don’t recite a new one until you can speak it out very, very naturally and confidently. Surely, it doesn’t apply to learning the vocabulary. 

尝试把学过的内容都背下来是不好的，如果这么做，你会觉得筋疲力尽，然后逐渐失去对英语的兴趣。选择一首你喜欢的诗，或者一篇喜欢的演讲，读熟、理解、然后背诵。除非你能够非常自然、非常自信地说出来，不然不要背诵新的内容。当然，这种方式不适用于英语词汇的学习。
